Say Something Now

Kids are experts on teasing, keeping out, embracing difference and fitting in. They know better than anyone else how it feels to be left out, and how it feels to be treasured. Give them the tools they need to relish their uniqueness and create schools that feel safe for everyone.

Peggy Moss is author of Say Something, Our Friendship Rules, and One of Us. She worked as an assistant attorney general in the civil rights unit of the Maine Department of Attorney General and as associate director of the Center for the Prevention of Hate Violence . Peggy now works with schools and camps to prevent bullying and teasing, and help kids, educators and parents celebrate the unique strengths of every child. Her extensive background enables her to describe the devastating physical and emotional impact of bullying, harassment, and hate violence through the voices of students who have been targeted and also through the lens of educators, parents, and law enforcement personnel working to prevent violence from occurring in the first place. She has provided workshops to students, parents, teachers and camp staff from Kindergarten to the college level in Maine, Tennessee, Ontario and Quebec and points in between, helping students and educators create school environments that feel safe for everyone.
